Casas Por Christo (“Houses for Christ”) is an international mission that builds homes for poverty stricken families in Mexico. Casas identifies families with great need and then facilitates mission trips for teams that build houses from the foundation up in the short span of one week.
Teams from FPC have built homes for seven Mexican families since 2002. Teams raise over $10,000 through fundraisers as well as contributions from the mission budget; these funds are used to build the homes and for logistical support of the team while onsite. Casas teams are always looking for fellow missionaries (no experience necessary) as well as assistance with leadership and fundraising. Three teams will be going to Mexico in 2008 and another in January 2009.
